Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the Direct Text Embedding option and the Button or Hyperlink embed options?
The Direct Text Embedding option displays your full privacy policy text inline on the page — visible to visitors without any clicking. The Button embed displays a clickable button that opens the policy in a pop-up, and the Hyperlink embed displays a text link. Use Direct Text Embedding when you want a dedicated privacy policy page with the full policy text visible on load.
Does the embedded privacy policy update automatically when my scan results change?
Yes. The embed code loads your policy content dynamically from Secure Privacy — so auto-generated sections such as cookie and plugin data update automatically whenever you rescan your domain, without needing to update the embed code on your page.
Where in the page should I paste the embed code?
Paste the embed code anywhere inside the <body> tag of your HTML page where you want the privacy policy text to appear. For a dedicated privacy policy page, paste it in the main content area. In most CMS platforms, use the HTML or source code editing mode to add it to the page body.
